Geminid Meteor Shower provides a dazzling display of nature’s fireworks!
Geminid Meteor shower: year's richest shower will be peak on the nights of December 13 and 14.
The Shower originates near the star Castor in Gemini constellation. As the Earth swings around the Sun it encounters the trail of debris spalled from the asteroid 3200 Phaethon which is the Geminids' parent. Along with hundreds of meteors
Geminid have a speciality: Fireballs.
In addition to viewing the Geminids our Advanced telescope will show beautiful views of Jupiter Saturn Moon Deep Sky objects like Galaxies Nebulae etc.
After this there is no better chance to see this Meteor Shower for next two years.
Location: Rajgad fort base.

- Introduction of the activities
- Telescope set up
- Introduction to Evening Sky.
- 1st Session: Observation of evening objects - Planets Stars and Constellations.
- Dinner break 9.30pm
- 2nd Session at 10pm: Meteor Shower Observation along with Nebulae Star Clusters.
- General discussion on Astronomy topics.
- Close up with Group Photos at 7am.
Event charges inclusive of accommodation veg dinner morning breakfast and tea and star gazing.
Last date of registration: 9th Dec.
Transport: Can be provided based on actual costs for a group.
