Stone setting is an exciting part of jewellery making and can bring colour and interest to any piece. On this introduction to stone setting workshop you will be taken through the steps to creating a beautiful piece of jewellery, featuring a semi-precious cabochon stone set in sterling silver. On the day you’ll be able to select a cabochon from our beautiful range of stones which is included in the price.To create your bezel setting (also known as a rub-over setting) you will learn a variety of skills and techniques such as saw piercing, soldering, measuring, filing and polishing. We will then show you how to turn your setting into a necklace that you can proudly wear away at the end of the day.
