Lydia Horvath is an artist and art teacher living and working in Toledo, Ohio. She has over 15 years of experience teaching 6th through 12th grade students at Toledo School for the Arts. As an artist, Lydia is most at home with 2-D mediums, in particular watercolor, acrylic, all kinds of drawing, collage, and relief and monotype printmaking. In recent years she has been experimenting with combinations of these.
In addition to the visual arts, Lydia is an avid vocal musician and music enthusiast, and writer of poetry which she sees as an important influence on her visual work. She continues to work towards a synthesis of these influences.
