Drop in for an evening taster workshop on Gel Plate Printing and explore the endless possibilities of this medium to create a series of your own prints!
This type of monoprinting uses a gel (rubber) plate for printmaking. It is a relatively new material that makes printing at home or printing without a press easier and more accessible.
Suitable for beginners, whether you’ve had experience of making art before or not, and looking to try something new and fun, in this workshop you’ll be guided step by step by our tutor Alexandra to explore the basics of gel plate printing, from making colourful and abstract backgrounds to stamping, using stencils and botanicals and mark-making to create your own prints.
By the end of this workshop, you’ll have started to build your language in print and come away with an understanding of the process and a selection of colourful prints!
Artbox London is a registered charity and social enterprise that runs art workshops, trips, exhibition and sales opportunities for people with learning disabilities and autism and all profits raised from this workshop will go towards supporting our artists.
Please try to give at least 24hrs notice if you can not make the workshop, or we may not be able to refund you. We are a small charity and as these workshops have limited spaces we will need time to try and fill them.
