Geeks versus Nerds (GvN) Reunion Show Early Bird Tickets Now Available in Support of the QEII Foundation Patient Assistance FundHalifax, NS – The award-winning, debate-style comedy show Geeks versus Nerds (GvN) is returning for a special one-night-only reunion on Friday, April 4th, at the Dalhousie Student Union’s McInnes Room. This reunion show promises to deliver the same hilarious, nerdy, and a-little-bit-weird humour that fans know and love. The event’s goal is not only to entertain but also to support the QEII Patient Assistance Fund, which provides crucial assistance to patients facing financial hardship during their treatment at the QEII Health Sciences Centre.
The event will include local comedians Alva Sparkles, Fat Apollo, and GvN host “PigMonkey” Andrew Dorfman. They will be joining fan-favorite cast members to put on a night of immature comedy for a mature audience. The evening will also feature a silent auction, prize raffle, and the coveted door prize of two weekend passes to Hal-Con 2025!
This reunion event is especially meaningful as it celebrates the 5-year cancer-free milestone of cast member and event organizer Cat Green.
“Facing major surgery during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, I spent a lot of time considering how I would someday get through those tough days and celebrate with family and friends,” said Cat. “This reunion show is that celebration. I can’t wait to mark this milestone and raise funds for an important local cause!”

About the Patient Assistance Fund:
Developed by the QEII Foundation, the QEII Patient Assistance Fund helps patients pay for amenities and services — necessities that can create financial burdens for people during an illness. Grants of up to $1,000 will help patients pay for rent, mortgage, lodging, home utilities, transportation (to medical appointments), food, car insurance/repair, phone services and medication not covered by a medical plan. This patient support is 100 per cent donor-funded — impacting patients and their families directly.
