Roll the Initiative presents a “Geekfest – Winter War Zone.
This will be a weekend of tabletop war gaming events hosted at the Sea King Club in Shearwater, in Eastern Passage Nova Scotia on the 1 and 2 of Feb 2025.
Geekfest is a celebration of gaming, providing opportunities to gather as a community to game.
What is tabletop wargaming? Tabletop wargaming is a type of gaming where players use miniature figurines to simulate battles. These figurines can be from any time period or genre, and players can use them to recreate historical battles, fight in imaginary worlds, or create their own scenarios.
This event will include multiple game systems, and may have demo games which will show the existing communities in Halifax and the many opportunities for play that exist. If you’re interested in tabletop war gaming, please stop by to see the many miniatures on the tables and maybe even try out a few demo games. If there is a game system that you’d like to play, with a group or just with friends, please reach out to the organizers and we’ll set up some space for you to join in.
We are happy to welcome guests to the Mess!
