About this Event
The Gaming Social is a weekly gaming drop-in for young people to socialise and mix in a relaxed environment.
Gaming Social is a place where gamers can come together to play our huge range of consoles with their friends.
We started our in-person Gaming Social in 2018 as a way for people who love gaming to get together and socialise over something we’re all passionate about. We've amassed a collection of games and consoles, from Mega Drive, Spectrum, and NES to VR and PS5 and loads in between. We also have regular tournaments of Super Smash Bros on our big screen!

The sessions
Under 11s - 4.30pm - 6pm, every Tuesday during term time.
Over 12s - 6pm - 8pm, every Tuesday during term time.
Summer term is from Tuesday 16 April to Tuesday 16 July 2024.
There will be no session on Tuesday 28 May 2024.
Who can come?
Our under 11s session is suitable for everyone aged between 5 and 11.
Our over 12s session is suitable for everyone aged between 12 - 18 (up to 24 for adults with additional needs).
An adult must accompany anyone aged 11 or under.
How can I attend?
Sign up to each term for an amount you can afford.
Each young person must register for the relevant session for the whole term. Places are booked on a pay-what-you-can basis by selecting one of the ticket price options (Free, £5, £10, £20, £35, £50) per attendee, either in advance via our Eventbrite booking system or in person at the first session you attend.
That means you can come for free, or you can choose to give some money towards the running of GCT Gaming Social; any penny you can spare helps pay our facilitators, purchase new games and consoles, and for our GCT staff to support our brilliant volunteers.
Once signed up, you can attend as few or as many GCT Gaming Social Sessions as you like within the term dates above. You can sign up at any time in the term, so don't worry if you miss the first session!
