ROUTE DETAILS:
We will meet up at Crown Hill Park's main parking lot on the South side.
Be there at 8:45 am to meet other riders.
Wheels down at 9:00 am sharp.
This is an intermediate ride which may not be suitable to a new-to-gravel riders. (We say this mostly because of the fact that we won’t have specific pace leaders or sweeps, in addition to the mileage.)
From Crown Hill Park, we'll head out to play on the dirt paths and trails in and around Applewood, North Table Mountain, Blunn Reservoir and Standley Lake. We will be using trails, as well as roads for this route. For the dirt/gravel portions, expect some wide crushed gravel, smooth single track, rutted double track, but nothing too terribly chunky.
Afterwards, stay and grab a drink and/or food from Em's Ice Cream and/or Queen City Coffee Collective. (They are side by side near Crown HIll Park).
Distance: 54 miles
Elevation Gain: 1,861 ft
Gravel Ratio: 55% Gravel / 45% Paved
