Thursday Oct 16, 2025, 7-9pm - Gavin Simms and friends at the Battery Cafe.Join local-singer songwriter Gavin Simms on the 3rd Thursday of every month for some great local music. Gavin hails from Hermitage on Newfoundland's South coast, and entertains with his soulful voice, thoughtful lyrics, great guitar work and a gentle dose of humour. When he’s not writing or working on his next album, he’s happiest roaming the woods with his dogs. Gavin‘s second album "Far Cry" was nominated for three MusicNL awards in 2017 (Ron Hynes Songwriter Of The Year award, Male Artist Of The Year, and Alternative Album of The Year).

Our max capacity is 35 so larger groups (>3 people) should purchase tickets well ahead of time. Walk-ins may be available on the day of the show - please drop in or call 709-722-9167 to confirm.
Our Kitchen closes at 4:00pm, but snacks and baked treats are available till 9:00.
Please arrive at least 15 mins early to get seated and avoid the rush. Groups of 3 or more will be assigned a table; free seating for singles and couples. Please check in with our staff before seating yourself.
Seats will be held for 30 mins after the show starts, after which they may be given to walk-ins. Tickets can also be transferred - login to https://locarius.io/.
