Delhi-based guitarist Siddarth Gautam and San Francisco-based guitarist Nelsen Hutchison first met at The Piano Man in 2023, connecting over their shared love of Django Reinhardt and the Quintette of the Hot Club of France. Their quartet—rounded out by bassist Divij Kapoor and saxophonist/vocalist Agneya Singh—celebrates the legacy of Reinhardt and gypsy jazz while bringing their own contemporary sensibilities to the tradition. Audiences can expect fiery virtuosity, lyrical warmth, and spirited musical dialogue.
Siddarth Gautam is a Delhi-based guitarist and educator active across the Bangalore and Mumbai jazz circuits, known for his work in bebop, blues, and jazz manouche. He has performed with his projects Django Twins and the Sonic Shori–Aditya Dutta trio, and has recorded for Malayalam and Kannada films while collaborating with leading Indian acts such as Thermal and a Quarter and the Bluefrog Tribute Band.
Nelsen Hutchison is a San Francisco Bay Area guitarist, educator, and composer, and a member of the acclaimed Hot Club of San Francisco. He has toured with Gunhild Carling and guitarist Jimmy Grant, performs widely in the gypsy jazz tradition, and teaches guitar at Skyline College; he also holds a PhD in music from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Divij Kapoor is a Delhi-based double bassist and session musician who performs with Kraken and has appeared at major festivals including NH7 Weekender. A versatile collaborator and Trinity Grade 8 all-India topper, he has shared the stage with artists such as Alex Hutchings, Jack Thammarat, Lisa X, Lars Møller, and Sharat Shrivastava, and is currently developing his own original music.
Agneya Singh is a 19-year-old saxophonist and vocalist and a former student of KM Conservatory. Classically trained in opera under English soprano Nina Kanter, he brings a distinctive blend of technical finesse and expressive range to the quartet.
