Gathering of Tribes will be hosting 2nd Friday's and this is an after work networking party at Four City Brewery. Each of these events will feature 3 DJ's and sometimes surprise guests. The selected DJ's are jocks from our Open Turntable Sessions and instead of 15 minute sets, each DJ will get an hour. The party starts at 6pm and ends at 10pm. No cover just good music, dope art and great beer!For those who don't know, OTS or Open Turntable Sessions has been a event we have been hosting for over two years at Four City Brewery, Hackensack Brewery and Revilla Grooves and Gear. These events were started to bring vinyl lovers together to play our favorite music. The idea came to me simply because I saw a rise in vinyl sales and it was a unique opportunity to make my mark on the DJ and music scene in New Jersey.
The vinyl community is very open and friendly and many night spots don't accommodate DJ's who spin on vinyl. The few that do I noticed very quickly that it's a nurturing community and I felt that it was a void that needed to be filled.
So here we are close to 4 years later from when we started in a small art and upcycle fashion boutique in East Orange NJ. Our next session is Dec. 13th with guest DJ's Ray Seiler, DJ Kaydonna and Cabana Recordings Justin Imperiale.
