Please join us in support of Mary Kaye as she fights her battle with Metastatic Breast Cancer. Mary Kaye was first diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer Stage 2B in September 2020. She underwent treatment and went into remission in June of 2021. Mary Kaye was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer in December 2024 and is currently going through chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
Everyone knows Mary Kaye! Mary Kaye is currently a Surgical Quality Nurse at the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center. She is also a Diabetic Nurse Educator, Associate Professor with Luzerne County Community College teaching clinical practice for nursing students and has worked in the Emergency Department at General and Regional Hospitals for over 25 years.
If you haven't seen her at the beach or in the workplace, you would have seen her running past you during one of her many, many running events that she has supported, not to mention walking away with multiple medals!
Mary Kaye has two children, Scott and Alexis-Taylor. She also has two beautiful granddaughters, Payton and Revena. Mary Kaye has mentioned that she has the best family in the world. Her siblings, children and grandchildren continue to stand by her side.
We are calling for Mary Kaye's friends, family, colleagues, students, etc. to come support during her fight!
