Dumfries Guild of spinners, weavers and dyers open day “Gathering” on Saturday 11th
10.00 to 15.00 at Monreith House at the Crichton.
We open our doors to all who have an interest in working with thread yarn and fibres. With guild members presenting their work for the annual challenge. This year is “Two or more fibres”. There will be displays of items made during our workshops this year too.
We have a raffle (tickets on the door), light refreshments, members stalls of their wares, members demonstrating their skills and we welcome our guest retailer who this year is Adelaide Walker.
We shall see who wins the raffle for our beautiful blanket knitted by our members from our own hand spun yarns too. (As seen at Dumfries Agricultural Show).
