Join Gather Women's Group for an inspiring and energizing first event of the year with a Kickoff Luncheon featuring Martesha Brown as the keynote speaker.
Martesha will lead attendees through an engaging session focused on embracing authenticity, purpose, and resilience in every aspect of our lives. She will encourage attendees to reflect on their personal values and strengths, empowering us to fully embrace our authentic selves in both personal and professional spaces. With a focus on purpose-filled leadership, Martesha will share tools to help us confidently lead in alignment with our core values and passions, even while managing the demands of multiple roles.
This event is a perfect opportunity to connect with like-minded women, celebrate shared goals, and gain valuable insights to support a fulfilling personal and professional life. Registration includes lunch.

Martesha Brown is a Rockford native and MBA graduate of Rockford University with a passion for economic development, strategic planning, marketing, and community engagement. She currently serves as the Director of Community Economic Development for Midland States Bank and has held leadership roles with the Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau and Alpine Bank.
Martesha’s outstanding contributions have earned her numerous accolades, including Rockford’s “Forty Under 40,” the YWCA’s Woman of Achievement Award, and recognition as one of Soul News Network’s “25 Black Leaders to Watch.” She was also the first Black woman elected to the Rockford Park District Board of Commissioners in its 112-year history, where she now serves as President.
In addition to her professional and volunteer efforts, Martesha is the owner of MB Strategic Solutions, a consultancy specializing in leadership development, strategic planning, and organizational growth. As a sought-after public speaker, she inspires audiences with her insights on leadership, purpose-driven focus, and belonging.
