About this Event
Join us for a hands-on, mind-opening collage workshop where imagination takes the lead! In this session, we’ll dive into the art of collage using a blend of images and the "cut-up" technique of finding inspiration through free association with text. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a complete beginner, this workshop is all about letting your creativity flow.
We’ll start by exploring a wide array of images, textures, and colors, cutting and pasting our way to unique visual stories. Then, we'll take it up a notch by incorporating text snippets, phrases, and words into our collages. By cutting up and rearranging these pieces of text, we’ll unlock new meanings and create unexpected connections.
Through free association, you’ll learn to let go of any preconceptions and embrace spontaneity, allowing your subconscious to guide the process. The end result? A one-of-a-kind collage that’s as meaningful as it is visually striking.
All materials are provided, so just bring yourself and an open mind. You are also welcome to bring any personal images, textures, or text that you'd like to incoperate. By the end of the workshop, you’ll walk away with a finished collage piece and plenty of inspiration to keep your creative juices flowing!
