GATHER - a Forest School Skills Day for Adults

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
This a CPD workshop for anyone who wants to take learning outdoors - Teachers, Teaching Assistants, trainee & qualified Forest School Leaders, Early Years Practitioners or anyone thinking of setting up a home-education group - anyone who would like more ideas/skills and the chance to meet like-minded people. It would also suit anyone thinking about doing the forest school training who would like to learn more before committing to the course.
ABOUT THE DAY:
During the day you will have the chance to:
*Hear about some of my experiences over the last 13 years
*Learn several songs, stories & games that you can then use yourselves - suitable for the term ahead (stories/songs will be printed for you to take home)
*Try new seasonal crafts and learn skills
*Look at and try a variety of equipment and tools
*Look at several books about skills, crafts and storytelling
*Light and maintain fires
You will be able to take photos, record songs, make notes (please bring a notebook & pen), you will be given details of good websites.
CELEBRATION: This workshop will be held a few days after Samhain and All Saints Day marking the end of the harvest season and the beginning of the darker half of the year - you will learn more about these festivals and how they can be used in your sessions and lesson planning.
LOCATION: We will gather in a lovely beech woodland forest school site at Kingswood School in Bath
