Join us for another fabulous Holy Moly headliner, Gary Studley! I've had the pleasure of seeing Gary perform several times now, and every time he's been a class act, mixing punkish social commentary with a surprising delicacy of language. As ever, we will build up slowly to peak Gary with our regular open mic, in which you can entertain us with your own linguistically delicate punkish social commentaries, or what-have-you. No need to book, just turn up, sign up and read! Entry is free but you can support us with an optional ticket.
More about Gary:
Gary Studley is an artist, performer and prize winning writer working with The Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury Festival, Kent Mining Museum and English Heritage.
In addition to leading the volunteers and warehouse teams of Deal Area Emergency Foodbank, Gary works with organisations on community writing and art projects, teaches creative writing, helps others edit, comperes monthly spoken word events and leads Dead Hoarse Writers and SoundLines Poets.
His service, Writing For Life, promotes writing and strategies for positive mental health with individuals and stake-holders of charities, including Porchlight, Ageless Thanet, Suicide Prevention, Kent Refugee Help, Shaw Trust and East Kent Schools Together.
