Gary Faulds
Gary Faulds is a Scottish comedian born in the north of Glasgow and raised in the East End. Gary was raised by his best pal, his mother Ann, until she met his ...step dad David when four. David raised Gary as his own son and Gary says that David is his biggest influence in comedy. David ran a lot of pubs in Glasgow and at a young age Gary was forced into child labour. By the time he was 6 he was a pot man in the pubs, collecting empty pint glasses, giving grown men marriage advice and telling the punters jokes at the bar for crisps. From being told about his bank robber biological dad at sixteen to being the black sheep of a crime family, his only option was the Army. After eight years in the British Army, Gary had to leave to support his step dad who was diagnosed with terminal cancer. After two years travelling the world he sadly lost the biggest influence in his life. So comedy is Gary's way of spreading his dad's memoirs of being a Glaswegian pub landlord. Now a married man punching above his weight with three children and a stepson of his own, Gary is following in his step dad’s footsteps. Gary's style of comedy is story telling and you will be sucked into his funny life. His stand up is more than just funny and informative. After a punch line packed five minutes you will know the basics of his life and by 20 minutes you will practically be cousins. His sell out show at The 2016 Glasgow Comedy Festival, Lock Stock & Two Yum Yum’s please, was a great success and Gary’s plans for The 2017 Glasgow Comedy Festival includes a 450 seated venue.
