The Firewater Suite challenges mythic notions of the American West through a unique blend of vintage liquor decanters and contemporary water bottle labels. Gary Emrich acquired decanters featuring iconic Western American imagery, pairing them with modern backgrounds taken from water bottle labels. Titles such as Sheriff with Ice Mountain Spring evoke a humorous yet critical commentary on the idealized depiction of the historic West.
