Visit us to preview some of the most unique and beautiful collectibles from the Garrett Antique Store.Thank you for your interest in Estate & Downsizing Specialists. We are thrilled to have been selected by the Garrett family to facilitate the sale of their estate. Over the past 49 years, the Garretts amassed a large collection of rare antiques, geological specimens, erotica, vintage glassware, regional art, ephemera, ornate furniture, chandeliers, oil lamps, Native American artifacts, etc… inside their Kirkwood home. We are proud to play a small part in the rich history of this family and their incredible home.
The home was built in 1895 and became known as the “Batman” house for many years before becoming a funeral home and a local chapter of the AFL-CIO. Purchased by the Garretts in 1974, the 4 story limestone home became part residence and part antique store. Through the years they have greeted and welcomed thousands of visitors interested in their “museum” like home.
We are currently working on removing items from the home and listing them for auction. As of now, we anticipate 12 to 18 months to completely empty the home; having 2 auctions (or more) a month for the foreseeable future.
