Late fall is the time for planting garlic in our region! Garlic is easy to grow and special because it's one of the first plants to sprout in the spring. This workshop will focus on which varieties grow well here, how to plant, care for and dry garlic through its whole life cycle, AND we will even quick pickle a jar of cloves to take home.
Katie Colling & Cindy Gallimore from Soil Solidarity will teach this workshop and share knowledge on healthy soils, planting garlic and building community through gardening.
Each participant will go home with their own pickled garlic and garlic to plant.
One lucky Dead Plant Society raffle winner will take home a special garden tool!
