Join us for a conversation about providing a healthy yard for birds (and other wildlife). Since NCNPS members are very knowledgeable about native plants, Judy will provide some tips, tricks and plant suggestions for attracting a wide variety of birds and keeping them healthy. Then we will have a conversation about what’s going on in YOUR yard, sharing ideas and tips YOU have discovered.
As a long time birder and member of Mecklenburg Audubon, Judy Walker has in her retirement been focusing on the connections between birds and native plants as well as sharing the joys of birding with folks of all ages. She has taught workshops on birds and native plants for both Wing Haven, the UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens and the regional Master Naturalist program. Although much more knowledgeable about birds than native plants, she knows what the birds like and how to provide for them.
