Are you obsessed with the latest and greatest, unusual and gorgeous plants? This plant walk is for you! Assistant Head Gardener Drew Schuyler loves to find and grow new plants and share his knowledge. Drew is responsible for bringing Salvia argentea (silver sage), Gomphocarpus physocarpus (balloon milkweed), and other new favorites to Untermyer Gardens. Walk with Drew through the gardens and be introduced to some of this season’s horticultural highlights. Drew will discuss how he finds new plants and how the team incorporates them into designs in the gardens.
During the tour, you will walk up and down stairs and along uneven paths, so we recommend wearing sturdy shoes and bringing water, sunscreen, and a hat. Please note that strollers are not advised for this walking tour.
Drew Schuyler is the Assistant Head Gardener at Untermyer Gardens and is a graduate of the Professional Horticulture Program at Longwood Gardens.
