Join us for a morning with Justin Husher, a pawpaw farmer from Northeast Ohio who runs Old Husher's Indigenous Orchards (OHIO) from two urban farm plots in Lakewood. Justin will give a talk on pawpaws — a native Ohio fruit from the Asimina triloba tree that grows in rich, moist soil, requires insect pollination, and ripen in late summer to early fall. Justin will explain pawpaw's importance, including their native biodiversity, how they support pollinator and wildlife, cultural significance, and more.
We'll see you under the pavilion at Cove Park!
