Join Smithsonian Gardens in the gardens at the National Museum of African American History and Culture for activities and a story time exploring this month’s topic, trees! This month, we’ll be joined by our friends at the National Museum of African American History and Culture for a special Wednesday offering of Garden Play.
Location:
Find us near the trees on the west lawn, between the National Museum of African American History and Culture and 15th Street NW.
Please note that if you would like to visit the museum after the Garden Play program, free timed-entry passes are required for all visitors, regardless of age.
About Garden Play:
Garden Play is a drop-in program designed for children ages 2 and up and their caregivers. Activities are designed with early learners in mind, but children of all ages are welcome. Parents and guardians must remain with their children.
Please come prepared for an outdoor experience. Wildlife and insects, including bees and mosquitoes, are a part of our gardens. Participants are encouraged to bring water and sun protection.
Activities may be subject to cancellation or modification due to weather conditions. (A little rain won’t keep us away, but we will cancel in the case of a heavy downpour or thunderstorm!)
