About this Event
Join Flower Growers of Mississippi and Holistic HeArts Collaborative for Garden of Wellness, happening Friday evening, June 28th, from 6:30-8:30. This event will be taking place at the Madison Flower Farmette (near the reservoir), at the address attached.
We will start the evening off with a grounding tai chi session in the flower garden, which will be led by licensed accupuncturist Dennis Holmes, LAc. Find your center with this subtle art as we flow with the universal chi (qi) all around us, while taking in the beauty and serenity of Mother Nature. The session will be accessible and beginner friendly. No previous experience is required. We will take a short break afterwards.
In addition to tai chi, this event will also feature an immersive ice bath experience. Also known as a polar plunge, this wellness modality has a plethora of holistic benefits. As we all know, it is hot in late June in central Mississippi. After we get sweaty while finding our flow for tai chi, what better way to beat the heat then to take the icy plunge? There will be local sound healers on site to serenade your mind, body and spirit as you soak your stress away. Be sure to wear a bathing suit or other comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting wet.
We will provide water and teas, as well as a treat to help beat the heat. Attendees of this event will also receive a bag of assorted flower bulbs, courtesy of Flower Growers of Mississippi. We are so excited to share in great vibes and community for this special healing and wellness gathering at the flower farm. We hope you will join us!
