The Garden of Eden is one of Northern CA's best secret swimming holes. Hidden along a strip of glorious redwoods, this gem is an idyllic paradise to cool off after a morning hike through the redwoods on a hot summer day.
What to Expect:
After a late morning, 5-7 mile mild hike through the redwoods of the Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, we will reconvene at the parking lot to grab what we need for our next adventure! A steep, 20 min hike (half of which is along a railroad track) through the forest leads us down to the San Lorenzo River and the Garden of Eden. We will explore along the river until we find our own piece of beach paradise and a nice swimming hole, then set up for a fun-filled afternoon on the beach and river swimming/lounging and eating a delicious picnic lunch!
