About this Event
Using seasonal and locally grown British flowers, you'll be guided through the step-by-step process of creating a wild, abdundant and garden-inspired vase arrangement by Leanne, the founder of Barb Studio. This is a great opportunity to practice your skills if you've attended a workshop with us before or to learn new ones if you're new to floristry.
During the workshop, we will focus on building key floristry skills to create a natural, garden style hand-tied bouquet which will sit in a vase of your own. We'll be celebrating the abundance of British summer flowers sourced from a local flower farm. You will learn the basics of preparing and conditioning stems, selecting flowers and identifying complimentary colours and textures as well as exploring the interesting shapes and forms of locally grown blooms.
Throughout the workshop, you'll learn about the summer flowers we are working with and why working with British grown flowers wherever possible is so important.
To finish, we'll style our bouquets in our vases ready for you to take home and enjoy.
All tools and flowers will be provided for this workshop. Please bring your own vase and a suitable bag to carry your vase and arrangement home in.
Each attendee will take home the bouquet they make during the workshop.
Please note: places are limited to 6 people per workshop to allow for social distancing. Workshop tools will be sterilised before and after the workshop. We have a minimum number of orders required for this workshop to go ahead, if this is not met then the workshop will be cancelled and you will be notified and issued a refund via Eventbrite.
