Grab a picnic and join us for a special Garden Gathering to kick off our Autumn/ Winter season and celebrate ‘Our Freedom: Then and Now’.Featuring live music and entertainment, street performers, lawn games and creative crafts for all the family, this event will see the unveiling of a brand new series of banners specially commissioned by artist Cj Reay of Black Lodge Press as well as community artworks in response to ‘Freedom Road’ by Simon Armitage. We'll also be celebrating the launch of the new local radio station, Barnsley's Essentials (powered by Barnsley Civic).
We look forward to bringing together members of our Civic family(old and new!) for a good old knees up to celebrate Barnsley’s rich legacy of mutual aid and collective action.
