About this Event

Geer Street Learning Garden is hosting an Introduction to Spring Gardening workshop series. In this workshop, "Garden Blueprint: Spring Planning," you learn how to create a planting plan and garden map.

The weather is cold right now, but Spring is just around the corner! Come learn everything you need to know to plan your Spring vegetable garden. We’ll cover value-based planning, crop seasonality, plant spacing, crop rotation and how to begin starts indoors. Come learn with us and get your garden off to the right start!

We recommend getting to this event 10 minutes early to give you time to sign in and get settled before beginning.

Location: Our Geer Street Learning Garden office is located within the Reinvestment Partners building at 110 E. Geer Street, Durham, NC 27701. To access the office, where the workshop will be hosted, please use the back entrance of the building. There should be a sign that says, Inter-Faith Food Shuttle Event" and a greeter outside to guide you.

Parking: There is a parking lot behind the Reinvestment Partners building.

Things to bring and wear: Snacks and water bottles, pens/pencils, notepads. Masks are not required, but you are encouraged to wear one if it makes you feel more comfortable or if you have any airborne disease symptoms. Masks available upon request.

Allergies, please note: Bees and fire ants are present in the garden. Participants with allergies should bring appropriate Medic*tion and alert staff members of your allergy.
