About this Event
A survey sent to our network revealed that the most common struggles for garden educators are engaging other staff in the garden and finding the time for garden-based learning planning and teaching. Part of this interactive workshop will be used to review your current curriculum, set garden-based-learning goals, and assist in aligning your standards to the garden. This class will also cover general garden-based activities, tips, and tricks that can be used by any educator to maximize time, engage youth, and help them feel more comfortable teaching outdoors. This workshop should be useful for educators of any content area, not just science!
Please note: This class will focus on the garden-based teaching and learning piece of youth garden programs. If you are mostly interested in garden maintenance strategies, we will have another class later this year covering this topic!
