Let get together, in our warmest garb, and go see the lights at the Grotto.The Grotto is a Catholic Shrine and Botanical Garden. In the winter, the upper gardens are decorated with lights and open to the public. Optional: Choir concerts, caroling, puppet show.

Where: The Grotto (NE Portland, 10 min from Parkrose Lodge)
What: Informal meetup to see Festival of Lights
When: Tue. Dec 9th. 5-7pm. Followed by A&S at the Lodge.
Price: Adult $17, Youth $8 ($15/ $7 if you buy online)
Dress: Garb optional, but encouraged. This is outdoors, so dress for snow.
Time : Aprox 1-2 hours. Aprox walk 1/4 mile.
Mobility Accessibility: Good: Wheelchair accessible, paths are paved. Neurodivergent accessibility: Moderate. May be overstimulating. Expect cold weather and bright lights, but the 9th is one of their slower days so crowds shouldn't be too bad.
Travel: Free parking. Trimet route #12. There is a free shuttle bus from Parkrose Max station. (We can carpool to/from the Lodge)
