Join us for a colourful, family-friendly Lunar New Year Festival in the heart of Lower Hutt!
Hosted by Viet Hub NZ, this outdoor cultural festival celebrates not only Vietnamese Tết but also embraces the wider Lunar New Year traditions of diverse communities across Aotearoa.
Come and experience a day full of music, culture, food, and community connection as we gallop into the Year of the Horse!

• Live Performances: Lion dance, drumming, cultural music and dance throughout the day on the Town Hall stage
• Cultural Games & Activities: Try your hand at Vietnamese folk games, calligraphy, lantern making, and storytelling
• Exhibition Space: Discover real stories of migration and belonging through our Immigrant Storytelling installation
• Traditional Costume Photography: Indoor photo area with Vietnamese and Lunar New Year-inspired costumes
