Juniper Art Gallery is honored to present an exhibit of artwork by Bloomington’s beloved Nora Liell, who passed away on July 6, 2025.
Nora was a multimedia artist exploring themes of the sacred and profane feminine, natural beauty, and cosmic mystery. Through organic linework and bright color that rejects the chromophobic, minimalist traditions of modern design, her paintings express a profound love of the worlds within and without, while her sculptures and ceramics celebrate the joy of the simple and earthbound.
We hope you’ll join us in celebrating the life and artwork of this dynamic woman, friend and creative. A reception will be held during the First Friday Gallery Walk, September 5, from 5-8:00pm
*Please note: The family will also be hosting a talk/memorial event at Juniper Art Gallery on August 29th from 5-7pm (the day before Nora's memorial service).
