About this Event
Spend an hour with Detroit-based artist Joey Quiñones for a personal tour of the 30 works in their newly-unveiled exhibition at The Sculpture Center, which explores identity, resilience, and transformation. This walkthrough provides a rare opportunity to engage directly with the artist and explore how their work resonates with today’s cultural consciousness.

They were selected as an Emerging Artist of 2020 by Ceramics Monthly, an Augusta Savage Grant recipient by the National Sculpture Society, and an Annual Prize Finalist by Manifest Gallery. Their work has been shown nationally and internationally at venues such as the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, the Akron Art Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati, the Crocker Museum in Sacramento, and the Winterthur Museum, Garden, and Library in Delaware.
