About the Artist
Ana Mosseri (Bogotá, Colombia. 1969) is a Colombian Postwar & contemporary artist.
Her practice has been recognized for her quirky and loose depiction of landscapes and color studies, with over 15 solo exhibitions from 1998 - 2023. Her subject matter often includes scenarios of scenery and fauna found in New York City, given her history and academic attachment with the city.
With a focus on painting, Mosseri has the ability to quickly adapt to the times, incorporating modern technologies into her artistic processes with ipad drawings and the like.
About The Gathering
CONCORDIA’s first partnership with Ana Mosseri will feature the artist's latest series of ipad drawings titled "Cherry Blossoms", exhibited at Mains de Vapeur's Hat Studio on the UWS. We will kick off the show with a conversation between our founder Danielle Juliao and the artist.
This space is meant to allow for more context on the body of work, followed by a Q & A with the attendees. All works showcased at the space will be available for purchase.
This show is curated by Danielle Juliao (Barranquilla, Colombia. 1996)
