For our first get-together of the New Year. Let's welcome in 2026 with a slice of Galette des Rois! Enjoy it with a cuppa, a coffee or a glass of crémant (Hot chocolate or apple juice for the kids). Your slice will be carefully chosen by the youngest member of our group. Who will find the fève (a small charm) hidden inside? The galette des rois is a cake traditionally shared at Epiphany, on 6 January. It celebrates the arrival of the Three Wise Men in Bethlehem. Christine will read their story.
Children will also have the opportunity to make their crowns in the hope they find the fève or are chosen as a royal counterpart!
We look forward to seeing many friendly faces and some new ones. As in previous years, we will have the traditional galette (puff pastry stuffed with a dense, creamy almond paste called frangipane) and an apple galette.
