For the first time, Vilnius city gallery Meno niša is participating in the art fair Art Antwerp organised by Art Brussels. 🇧🇪 For the 4th edition of the fair, Art Antwerp’s Invitation Committee selected and invited 70 participating galleries from 11 different countries, representing a mix of mid-career and emerging artists.
In Art Antwerp Vilnius city gallery Meno niša is presenting artists:

▶︎ Deividas Vytautas Aukščiūnas
▶︎ Jurgis Tarabilda
These three upcoming multi-disciplinary artists, working mainly with video, painting, installation and performance. Paulius Šliaupa, Deividas Vytautas Aukščiūnas and Jurgis Tarabilda are from the same generation, started their studies in Vilnius and exhibited internationally. Paulius Šliaupa‘s works explore the relationship between culture and nature. Although abstract, his paintings come from natural phenomena.
Deividas Vytautas Aukščiūnas movie prints will be on view at the booth. His visuals intricately weave a narrative that explores themes of intimacy, desire, submission, control and violence.
The starting point in J. Tarabilda’s latest works are intuitive gestures – lines, their combinations and scribbles, inspired by sheets of paper used by people to test pens in stationery shops. These seemingly random marks are full of spontaneity, revealing the raw essence of creative expression.
