On Thursday, February 12, female students in grades 8-12 are invited to the Digital Creator Studio for an evening of connection, creativity, and storytelling. From 5:30–8:00 PM, students will explore the stories of influential Pennsylvania women (past or present) and transform their legacies into powerful podcast narratives.
5:30–6:00 PM Mingle and Munch: meet fellow creators, and begin discovering notable Pennsylvania women who inspire them.
6:00 PM Galentine’s Podcast Night officially kicks off! Students will select a historical or contemporary female figure, dive into research with a twist, and uncover what makes her impact meaningful.
Guided through the podcast creation process, students will elevate these women’s stories while drawing personal connections between their own interests, passions, and goals.
Each participant will explore why their chosen figure is a powerful role model and how her story resonates with what it means to be a young woman today.
By the end of the evening, students will have developed a short podcast segment that celebrates female influence, amplifies women’s voices, and honors the power of storytelling. It’s a night to create, connect, and celebrate women—past, present, and future!
Tickets are $25. Visit education.pennon.org/podcast to claim your spot!
