About this Event

Celebrate Galentine’s Day with a cozy, uplifting morning designed to bring women together for genuine connection, great food, and thoughtful conversation.

Join us at Brew & Bloom South for a relaxed and welcoming gathering where you’re encouraged to bring a friend, meet new people, and enjoy a beautiful start to your day.

Your ticket includes a selection of coffee, tea, and flavoured water, and a light breakfast of fresh pastries, seasonal fruit, and yogurt parfaits.

The morning will also feature special guest speakers, Karissa Squire and Alexa Conlon, who will discuss their time in the women's hospital, the support they provided each other and the connections they have made with the Lois Hole Hospital Women's Society. Through shared experience and learning, we can all grow deeper conections and build better systems for women's health.

Whether you come with your bestie or solo, this event is all about connection, empowerment, and celebrating women in all stages of life. All proceeds from this event will go to the Lois Hole Hospital Women's Society.

Speaker bios:

Alexa Conlon is a mom of three, one in heaven and another born within the walls of the Royal Alex Hospital at just 28 weeks and 5 days gestation. Alexa knows first hand the importance of community support. With her background of being a nurse, entrepreneur, podcast host, non-profit founder and coordinator- she brings with her, a unique lens and perspective.

Karissa Squire is a devoted mother of three- two twin boys and a little girl. She spent more than three cumulative months in the hospital, cared for by the women of the Women's Hospital. Because of the Lois Hole Hosipital, Karissa is able to provide for and educate her children by example, showing them what it looks like for a mother to pursue her dreams, even while exhausted, overstimulated and navigatings the realities of motherhood. She is a mother first, professional makeup artist, momtrepreneur and what my her beauty co-workers refer to as a FarmBarbie- a proud grain farmer!
