Galentine's Day Sugar Cookie Decorating Class

Interested in learning more about decorated sugar cookies?! Anything on a Cookie is here to help! In this 2 hour class, we'll cover the all the tips and tricks of sugar cookie decorating, do some piping practice with Royal Icing, talk about how to strategize the best ways to decorate sugar cookies, and wrap up covering the general concepts around dough and icing! Everything you'll need is provided in class along with a live in-person instructor – just bring a smile (and maybe an apron).

This class is for the beginner cookier or for the person who is just curious about what cookie decorating is all about! If you have limited experience with sugar cookies, found yourself frustrated with royal icing, or if you're trying to have fun with family or friends, this is the class for you! We’ll be decorating six gal’s-only-themed cookies – If diamonds are a girl’s best friend, cookies are next in line!

We provide everything you will need from cookies, icing, sprinkles, and a box to take your awesome creations home in - we just need YOU! Each to-be-baker gets 6 cookies, 4 icing colors, sprinkles, and all the tools necessary to knock this cookie class out of the park! Everything is prepped right before class – so no baking or icing mixing required. Just decorate!

This class is on Friday, 2/13 and starts at 6pm sharp so we can have enough time to decorate and answer along the way. Come by yourself, bring your best friend, or bring the family - we have seating for up to 12 people! It's a blast whether you're coming with a friend, family member, or solo!

This class is good for ages [minimum age limit], but if you'd like to leave the kiddos at home, purchase an add-on kit (more on that below)! The kits are great for kids at home, plus - we'll send you the class PowerPoint so you can teach them yourself!

The class will be held at the Anything on a Cookie home bakery in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

Wondering what you need to bring to have a successful time decorating? Well – nothing’s required – but here’s the things we recommend if you’d like to elevate your experience!

• Bring an apron! Things can get messy when you’re workin’ with royal icing – so grab an apron (bonus points if it’s cute – I’ll definitely be asking where you got it).

• Bring your glasses! There’s a reference slide deck to help you decorate, but if things get blurry far away, seeing glasses may be a great bet.

• Bring your phone! I love it when students take pictures throughout class – so bring a phone!

• Bring a good attitude! Cookies are fun, but they're also challenging! A good attitude makes all the difference.

Who doesn’t love getting out and doing something fun while also eating delicious cookies!? That’s what Anything on a Cookie is all about!

These classes are based in Rancho Cucamonga and cater to the beginner cookier or people just looking to have fun learning a new skill. Whether you just want a fun date, a girls-or-guys-night-out or just want to explore what cookie decorating is on your own - we have a seat for you.

For our classes, all you will need to bring is yourself (and an apron if you are a messy decorator), and I’ll take care of the rest. Oh – and bring eyeglasses so you can see the instructional PowerPoint if your eyesight is anything like mine. You will get a set of pre-baked cookies (pretty tasty if I do say so myself) as well as all the supplies you will need to decorate them during the class. You will leave the class with your very own box of your very own newly decorated cookies!

A little about me – I’ve been baking sugar cookies since February 2021– and I’ve not put down a scribe since (don’t know what a scribe is? I’ll teach you in class!). My favorite cookie themes to decorate are Baby Showers – but I can do pretty much anything if icing’s involved. I love what I do –who wouldn’t love making cookies?! It’s the sweetest job in the world!

Cancellations less than 5 days prior to class cannot be refunded.

If I do not hear from you before your class’s start time, and you do not show up for class, I won’t be able to offer you a refund or a credit even if you're sick. So please reach out before class if you’re feeling sick!

If you cancel your ticket and request a refund prior to the cancelation window expiring, I’ll happily give you a refund less any Event Brite fees – since I don’t get this fee back either. Event Brite keeps it regardless of whether you show up or cancel. I know – I hate it too!

This event is open only to individuals who have purchased a ticket. Free spectating is not allowed.

Allergens: Heads up – all cookies contain egg and wheat flour. A full list of ingredients is available upon request.

Please note – Cookies are made in a home kitchen environment that might be exposed to gluten and/ or nuts.

Class Cancelation Policy: Classes may be canceled at the discretion of me, the event host. This rarely happens – but in that extremely rare event that it does, you’ll receive a 100% refund.

Classes with attendance below 3 will be canceled. Don’t be sad! You can either get a class credit for a future class (along with my apologies), or a full refund! I’ll let you know if your class has low attendance 3 before the event is canceled so that you can bring a friend (hint hint) or find other plans for that day.

Weather Policy: Sometimes Jack Frost doesn’t play well with cookie class schedules, and Mother Nature seems to be takin’ notes. In the event of inclement weather, I’ll contact you with options – these may differ depending on the weather event but rest assured – we’ll figure something out!
