What is the meaning of Galentines day? According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, Galentine's Day is a "day for women to celebrate their friendships with their lady friends." Essentially, the meaning of Galentine's Day is Valentine's Day for your gals. (It's right there in the name). A special day dedicated to celebrating friendship in all its forms! It’s a day to celebrate the love you have for your lady friends, and shower them with love and attention… more than you do every other day! Here at Ladies Heights Happy Hour, Galentine's Day is one of our FAVORITE holidays!This Galentine's we will be embracing our COWGIRL ERA! Chin up, hats on, heels down. We'll be blasting some Dolly Parton and Cowboy Carter, so throw on your pink cowgirl hats, sparkly boots, and bedazzled jean jackets and join us at the American Legion for THE CHEAPEST DRINKS IN TOWN. You do not have to be a member to drink at the American Legion; it's open to locals! However, this is a LHHH ladies only event so please leave your Cowboy at home.
This event is a good excuse to test out more extreme versions of your favorite bright or glittery cowgirl fashions- or to try out a version of yourself you normally wouldn’t otherwise show off! It’s a chance to push the boundaries of what you like and maybe even find something that feels much more “right" that you wouldn’t have without the safe outlet of calling it a “costume” for one day! Any costume done mean-spirited is, well... mean... we're not looking for stereotypes- we want you to dress in a way that allows your inner Cowgirl to come out and play for the evening! Think of this like training wheels for testing new expressions of oneself.
