About this Event
A Celebration of Friendship and Connection
The Galentine’s Day Floral Arranging Class is a joyful and social celebration of friendship, creativity, and community. Designed around the spirit of Galentine’s Day, this workshop offers a welcoming space to gather with girlfriends both new and old, share conversation, and create something beautiful together. Whether you arrive with a longtime friend or come solo hoping to meet new ones, this class is designed to spark connection and make everyone feel at home.
The atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and intentionally social, making it easy to connect with others at your table and throughout the room. This workshop feels more like a creative gathering than a traditional class, encouraging conversation, laughter, and shared moments alongside hands-on learning.
Beginner-Friendly and Open to All
This floral arranging class is beginner-friendly and suitable for ages 15 and up. No prior floral experience is required. The workshop is designed so that everyone can participate fully, regardless of skill level, and leave feeling confident in what they’ve created.
Instruction is clear, supportive, and easy to follow, allowing beginners to learn comfortably while still offering meaningful insight for returning students or flower lovers who want to expand their skills. The focus is on enjoyment, creativity, and building confidence through hands-on practice.
Hands-On Learning with Expert Guidance
Students will design a seasonal floral arrangement under the guidance of the master instructors at the Cass School of Floral Design. Each step of the process is demonstrated and explained, with instructors circulating throughout the room to provide personalized guidance and encouragement.
Workshop size is intentionally kept small to maximize learning, interaction, and fun. This allows for one-on-one instruction, thoughtful feedback, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions throughout the class.
Learning About Flowers Beyond the Arrangement
In addition to design techniques, students will learn about flowers themselves. Topics include floral botany, how flowers grow, and how seasonality affects availability and design choices. Instructors will share insights into the history of floral design and how flowers have long been used to celebrate relationships, milestones, and community.
Students will also learn where to buy quality flowers, how to forage responsibly, and how to select blooms that work well together. Flower care tips are woven throughout the workshop, ensuring students understand how to maintain long-lasting freshness once they take their arrangement home.
Floral Design Techniques, Trends, and Opportunities
The workshop introduces foundational floral design techniques such as balance, proportion, color harmony, and texture. Instructors will also touch on current trends in floral styling and how professional designers approach arrangement building.
For those curious about exploring floral design further, the class offers insight into creative and professional opportunities within the floral world. Whether your interest is purely personal or something you may want to pursue more deeply, the workshop provides valuable perspective and inspiration.
