Galentine's Day Candle Workshop

This Galentine's Candle Workshop is sure to be a cozy, festive time. Valentine's looks are encouraged but certainly not necessary. All are welcome. Come as you are. Experience is not necessary.

You will make a candle and a trendy little matchbox to go with it.

Pencil this event into your calendar for some effortless "me" time, a chance to get together with friends, or to create alongside some brand new friends.

Schedule

While the vibe is a laid-back time to express yourself and explore, there are a few milestones we'll walk through to create our candle and matchbox:

1. Select and Prep Your Vessel - choose from a variety of curated vessels that have been cleaned and prepared for you to use. All of the containers to select from have been repurposed antiques or thrifted. You'll grab one and set up your wick(s) inside.
2. Design Your Wax - explore the scents and dyes available to plan how you want your wax.
3. Pour! - mix your fragrance and dye (if desired), then pour it into your prepared vessel.
4. Decorate Your Matchbox - while the candle sets, we'll switch the focus to your matchbox which you might like to paint or embellish. It will take about an hour for the candle to set, so there is plenty of time here.
5. Take a Photo! At the end, there will be an area set up to stage your creation for a photo if you like.

Keep in mind:

• Your candle will take 24-48 hours to fully set before you should light it. Most candles can be safety transported after1-2 hours. In the event that yours is taking longer to set, arrangements will be made to get it to you safely after the workshop.

Parking & Access

Transit or rideshare are the easiest options. Public parking is available near the venue. The closest parking is metered street parking. Access to the unit where the event is hosted is through the back alley. There will be a sign posted up on the door.

Cassie is an experienced workshop organizer who has brought successful events to a few different cities over the past five years. From woodworking to wall art, she's done a bunch! Please feel free to reach out if you have something you'd like to chat about in advance of the event.
