A chance to celebrate your female friends by joining us for an elegant afternoon tea!

Galantine's Day celebrates female friendships! Our event is open to anyone wishing to celebrate the ‘gal’ or ‘gals’ in your life, that mean so much to you
The Sparkling Afternoon Tea:
Please make sure you arrive hungry as we will be providing each guest with either a full sweet or savoury afternoon tea…..
SWEET
• A glass of sparkling wine or sparkling elderflower as well as unlimited tea.
• 4 delicious sandwich quarters.
• A scone, clotted cream and homemade jam.
• A selection of homemade cakes and pastries
SAVOURY
• A glass of sparkling wine or elderflower and unlimited tea.
• 4 delicious sandwich quarters.
• Cheese Scone, Cream Cheese and Chilli Jam
• A selection of homemade treats.
The afternoon tea will be served on vintage tea sets, 3-tier cake stands, tablecloths, and colourful cloth napkins.
All the food will be prepared by our team of lovely ladies who have had years of experience, creating yummy homemade cakes, pastries and delicious sandwiches.
We can accommodate most dietary requirements if highlighted in the booking form. Unfortunately, if someone has a serious allergy, we will not be able to meet their requirements, as food is prepared in a home kitchen which cannot be guaranteed allergy free (i.e. nuts and wheat will be used in our kitchens, so we cannot guarantee against cross contamination)
Entertainment:
We are delighted to announce that we will be entertained during the afternoon by Parting Gesture, a local acapella group.
Parting Gesture is a South Devon acapella group: four women and four men, singing their own arrangements of pop songs by contemporary artists.
Venue:
The Coaver Club is a warm, spacious and clean building, that provides a welcoming atmosphere for our event and is wheelchair accessible. The use of the Coaver Club has kindly been gifted to the Exeter Friends of Hospiscare.
Directions and Parking
The Coaver Club is at County Hall, on Topsham Road. There is free parking on site. The Stagecoach buses that stop nearest the venue are the R and S buses. There is free parking on site, disabled parking outside the building.

Costs and Bookings:
The cost is £25 per person. To book your place, please complete the Booking Form at the bottom of this webpage. If you are booking for guests, please provide their names, contact details and any dietary requirements.
Raffle:
On the day we will be holding a raffle that costs £1 for a ticket or £5 for 6 tickets. We can accept cash or card on the day and will draw the winning tickets by 4.15pm so everyone will be there to collect a prize if they win.

Cancellation Policy:
If you notify us that you cannot attend the event, at least 10 days in advance of the event, we can offer you a refund. If it is less than 10 days’ notice, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund.
Instead, you can send someone else in your place, ensuring that you give us their name, contact details, and any dietary requirements. Or if you live in the Exeter or surrounding area, we may be able to drop your sparkling afternoon tea to your door.
