About this Event
Gala & Regalia Dinner Fundraiser
Chiapas Education Project is a Nonprofit that refurbishes recycled electronics from the U.S. to provide schools in Arriaga, Chiapas with access to technology. We have gifted a computer and projector to a Kindergarten and Elementary school in the town of Malpaso, and built a computer lab in the Jr. High in the town of La Azteca. Our organization continues to sponsor their internet services. This fundraiser will help us continue our vision by creating a computer lab at the High School, allowing students access to technology through their entire educational experience. This keeps electronics out of the landfill, easing the burden on Mother Earth and provides job skills for the students who might otherwise have to leave their country to find work as adults.
