About this Event
Though Mother’s Day will have passed, it is never too late to show your mom or maternal figure in your life some love. And what better way to do this than with a bouquet you arranged yourself, or, even better, one you arranged together! So bring your mom, a motherly friend, or just yourself and join Girl Advocacy League for a glass and a class! April was a former florist and will be guiding us in the creation of our bouquets.
Note: Flowers are not provided in the class. If you would like to participate in the class (optional!), please bring a few of your favorite blooms and we’ll arrange them together.
If you are new to our organization, welcome! Girls Empowerment Network (GIRLS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit with the mission of igniting the power in girls by teaching them the skills to thrive and believe in their ability to be unstoppable - is that a cool mission or what? GIRLS achieves this through a curriculum designed to increase each girl's self-efficacy (her belief in her ability to succeed). Girl Advocacy League (GAL) is a giving circle welcome to all community members who believe in the GIRLS mission. GAL members advocate, volunteer, and fundraise for GIRLS but also connect with each other and have fun! If you are curious about GIRLS or GAL, we would love to see you at this event!
We will be sitting at a picnic table with a GAL sign. Hope to see you there!
