Join our monthly Community Sit on Saturday, March 29th, from 9am - 10 am, on the Thomas Center NW lawn.GBA will host a practice called Nichiren Buddhism. Nichiren is a Japanese Buddhist practice that focuses on the teachings of the Lotus Sutra through chanting of "Nam Myoho Renge Kyo."
We are very fortunate to have MasonaKali, aka Kali Blount, as our guide. MasonaKali has practiced Nichiren for 40 plus years. He is an historian, healer, musician and activist.
For this special Saturday, Shakoor will guide us in a short seated meditation, followed by MasonaKali explaining Nicherin and leading our chanting, followed by a walking meditation and a silent sitting meditation. Please join us and invite friends and family.
Feel free to bring non-perishable food for our monthly food drive and stop by our table to meet us and find out about other events and sanghas. Stick around to meet your like-minded sangha members.
