We are thrilled to present the vibrant and playful work of Gaia Stella, winner of the Gold Medal from the Society of Illustrators of New York in the Surface/Product Design category for her illustrations in the book Bibi fai panini, published by Raum Italic.

About Gaia Stella
Gaia Stella is an award-winning illustrator based in Milan, Italy. She is the author and illustrator of several books, including Tadao Ando: C’est toi l’architecte (hélium, 2021, in collaboration with the Pinault Collection Bourse de Commerce) and If I Were a Fungus, which has been translated into six languages.
She has created editorial illustrations for clients such as The New Yorker, The New York Times, Vogue Bambini, and The Boston Globe.
In 2025, she received a Gold Medal from the Society of Illustrators of New York in the Surface/Product Design category for her illustrations in Bibi Makes Sandwiches, which also inspired a special collection with Kitty Bunny Pony.
Gaia’s colorful, geometric imagery draws inspiration from diverse sources, including brutalist architecture, 1980s toys, the books of Tove Jansson, and Asian food packaging.
