Cinema has historically served as an instrument of cultural and political dialogue between the United States and Latin American countries, particularly Mexico, at times playing the role of bridge, witness, mirror, narrator, and catalyst of complex inter-American relations. Join us for a discussion of how cinema and that cultural and political dialogue will evolve in the coming years.

Mexican actor, director, and producer Gael García Bernal gained international recognition through the films "Amores perros," "Y tu mamá también," and "Diarios de motocicleta" [The Motorcycle Diaries], among others. In addition to acting in acclaimed films and series, he directs and produces feature films and documentaries. Along with Diego Luna, he co-founded Ambulante, a non-profit documentary film festival, and La Corriente del Golfo, a production company focused on diverse media projects.
